Wood wall boards and cladding boards may use square edge, rounded edge, tongue and groove, shiplap or other project profiles. The drawing or profile sketch is often more important than a general product name.
Specification points
- Profile drawing, installation direction and exposed face
- Species, grade, knot allowance and color range
- Thickness, width, length and tolerance
- Surface finish: raw, brushed, stained, coated or paint-ready
- Indoor, sheltered, exterior or project-specific requirement
- Bundle, carton, pallet and edge protection for long boards
Important sourcing note
Wall board buyers should not rely only on product photos. A profile drawing, target sample or installation requirement helps avoid mismatch in joint shape, visible width, edge detail and packaging method.
