Cabinet Wood Components: What Buyers Should Specify

Cabinet parts usually need repeatable dimensions, clean edges, stable boards and careful packaging because they are often assembled into finished products after import.

Cabinet components are best sourced from a part list

Common items include cabinet door blanks, shelves, rails, stiles, drawer parts, side panels, frames and CNC-machined wood components. A clear part list helps the factory control size, finish, labeling and packaging by SKU.

Information to include in the email

  • Part name, drawing, photo or sample reference
  • Length, width, thickness, tolerance and edge detail
  • Species or material preference and visible-face quality
  • Surface condition: raw, sanded, primed, coated or paint-ready
  • Hole position, groove, profile, CNC or drilling requirement
  • Packing method for each part, carton quantity and pallet loading

Common risk points

Cabinet parts can fail at assembly if tolerances, hole positions or edge details are unclear. Visible surfaces also need protection during packing and shipping, especially for paint-ready or coated components.
